Children's Activities
CHILDREN'S EDUCATION  10:30AM - 1:30PM
Stop by the following children's educational areas.
Rod building & Knot tying Fish ID
Children will learn to assemble their very own jiggle stick which they can keep and use for the ice fishing contest. They will also learn the basics of knot tying and how the knots are useful in fishing. Limited to first 300 children. Ice Fishing experts will teach the children to identify the most common fish that Minnesota has to offer and what role they play in our state's fishing heritage.
Ice safety High Tech Kids
Children will learn what to look for when going out on the ice: What do you do if you see a person has fallen through the ice and what needs to be done after they are out of the water. Children will be able to see and interact with all of the latest and greatest ice fishing technology available.
OTHER CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES  12:00PM - 3:00PM
The Ice Olympics Outdoor Athletic Activities
Children will do activities that teach them what is involved in going ice fishing. Get ready to learn about fish houses, ice augers, fish locators, under water cameras, and keeping our lakes clean and recycling. Prizes awarded. Fun outdoor athletic events for the children throughout the contest time. Prizes awarded.

Polaris Youth Experience Center
Stop by this mobile interactive center on wheels to play the latest XBOX 360, PS3 and Wii games. For $5 you will get 15 minutes of fun, while warming up and supporting the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Come down and try out size-appropriate snowmobiles.

Many prizes drawn hourly throughout the entire ice fishing contest for children.
