Mara, Kibera, Eldoret, Kisumu

Current and former NFL players Robert Quinn, Tommie Harris, Jack Brewer and Will Witherspoon brought their hearts and skills to help the team give more than 2,500 people in need the gift of hearing.

We once again partnered with Shining Hope for Communities in one of Africa’s largest slums, Kibera. The team was overcome with gratitude as the entire community came out to support the hearing mission. One 12-year-old boy who had never heard before and was never taught any other form of communication. His mother brought him to the hearing mission hoping for a miracle, and in return, we gave her son the gift of hearing. In addition to hearing his mother say, “I love you,” for the first time, he walked away with a new and powerful confidence, knowing that his dreams might be within reach.
