When someone is in need of better hearing, Bill Austin is the go-to guy. Presidents, athletes, actors and CEOs visit the founder of Starkey Hearing Foundation to improve their hearing and stay connected to the world they influence. Last week, “The King” of NASCAR, Richard Petty, took a pit stop at the office in Eden Prairie, Minn. to ramp up his hearing. The racing legend was honored at the 2006 “So the World May Hear” Awards Gala and has been a supporter of the Foundation for years. “Once your hearing is damaged you don’t get it back,” Petty said while being fit. “Everyone should have their hearing tested annually.”
