El Salvador

We held our very first hearing mission in El Salvador in 1997, and the team was excited to return to celebrate 18 years of giving the gift of hearing. It was a nostalgic trip back to the capital city of San Salvador as we reconnected with old friends and connected with many new ones.

We were especially excited to see our friends and partners Frederic and Carla Rondeau, who have been with the Foundation team since the very beginning. Together, they have worked tirelessly to support our global efforts and are instrumental to our work in Central America. We were joined once again by Sandi Young and passionate sponsors from Audibel, including Keith and JoHannah Stroud, Kat Mercer, Brandy Percle, Richard and Shelby Geraci, along with Scott and Mary Simpson from Simpson Hearing Center.

During the hearing mission, we were fortunate to reunite with patients from former missions in San Salvador, including Juan Carlo. Austin fit Juan Carlo when he was just three years old. Since then, he graduated high school at the top of his class and has been successful in the professional world. It is such a gift to see patients reaching their full potential through hearing!
