Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City

In early 2016 Starkey Hearing Foundation was able to establish a new relationship with a local team in Vietnam to help bring hearing care to people in need in that country. 

When the hearing mission began in Hanoi, many of the patients, in particular the older ones, seemed a little hesitant to let their guard down, not having a full understanding of our purpose of being there to help.

However, as more and more patients received the gift hearing, and the people saw the genuineness of our helpful nature, they began relaxing and opened up to us more and more.

Our team then traveled to Ho Chi Minh City where there were significantly more child patients. We were thrilled to be able to see so many young eyes light up as they began hearing for the first time.

It’s great that we were able to establish a new local team in Vietnam who we hope will be able to continue to give hearing care for years to come.
