Global Impact
Over the past 40 years, Starkey Hearing Foundation has brought the gift of hearing to nearly 1.5 million people around the globe, inspired by co-founders Bill and Tani Austin’s dedication So The World May Hear and supported by many generous donors.
Our model is built upon Starkey Hearing Foundation’s legacy of international hearing missions. During these missions in more than 100 countries, we helped people hear through testing, fittings, and hearing aid donations, but we also built long-term self-reliance by providing training and education to local professionals on hearing, hearing loss and hearing aids.

For people who are employed and fitted with hearing aids, 90% saw an improvement in their work performance. Of those previously unemployed, once receiving hearing aids, 56% have found new employment or a way to conduct business for a living.

Since wearing hearing aids, 40% of school students had an increase of improvements in school performance or attendance.
Quality of Life

2018 Global Country Coordinator Summit
The 2018 Global Country Coordinator Summit was a training and educational summit where Starkey Hearing Foundation worldwide Country Coordinators and International Development Directors came together to unite, refresh, advance, and support one another while learning and applying best practices to the WFA® Community-Based Model.
In attendance were 80 people, representing over 45 countries which expanded from Jamaica, to Rwanda; India, to the Philippines; Guatemala to Palestine.
The event was a success in, “bringing the entire global team together under one dream and philosophy.”
