April 2014 Jordan

Our first hearing mission to Jordan was met with some apprehension from the patients. However, the team worked quickly to prove our good intentions and dedication, and the people we fit were soon smiling with excitement for the gift of hearing.

The team built a special bond with one family who had lost everything. A father and his three children had fled Syria for Jordan to save their lives, but not before a bomb blew up their home and stole their hearing. Now living safely in Jordan, the family did not know it was possible to get back that vital connection they had lost. Relief and tears of joy rippled through our team, as we watched each of them come to life again in the world of sound.
